    Fragment Analysis

    Fragment analysis

Our 3730XL DNA Analyzer uses fluorescence-based detection to determine the size of DNA fragments.

    dnaseq@yale.edu

  2. Core/facility

    Yale Genome Editing Center

We create genetically engineered mice via CRISPR/Cas, gene targeting via homologous recombination in ES cells, and traditional transgenic technology. We also cryopreserve mouse sperm and embryos.

    Timothy Nottoli, PhD

Primary contact Co-Director Research Scientist in Comparative Medicine
  3. Services
    CLA Spotting Cards

    Human cell line authentication

Using a cell line authentication service can help to establish the identity of a cell line or confirm that it remains uncontaminated. With the use of the CLA Identifiler Direct Kit, we will perform STR genotyping by fragment analysis. This STR profile will be the key to authenticating the cell line.

  7. Services

    Long reads sequencing: Oxford Nanopore

Oxford Nanopore is a long-read sequencing technology that utilizes an ionic current through nanopores and measures the changes in current as biological molecules pass through the nanopore or near it.

  8. Services

    Long reads sequencing: PacBio

The Sequel II System provides the advantages of SMRT sequencing and now makes it more affordable with comprehensive views of genomes and transcriptomes.

  9. Services

Microarray genotyping and gene expression profiling

Traditional microarray services to analyze gene expression pattern, DNA sequence polymorphism (SNPs genotyping), and methylation.

  10. Core/facility

    Molecular and Serological Diagnostics

We test tissues, cells, feces and environmental samples for veterinary viruses, bacteria, parasites, and fungi by polymerase chain reaction (PCR) and reverse transcriptase-PCR (RT-PCR), and mouse and rat sera for viral antibodies.
