About the core

The MRRC provides state-of-the-art MR equipment, infrastructure, and expertise for the development and application of MRI and MRS methodology in biomedical research. Research is focused on the study of intact biological systems by developing methods for obtaining structural, functional, physiological and biochemical information by MRI, MRS and other techniques.

The core provides support for acquisition strategies, the development of new methodologies, validation, tracking in temporal studies, and data analysis and archiving. We have physicists on staff for help with specific pulse sequence strategies, and physics and electronics personnel are available to aid with the development and construction of novel hardware for improving the scope of applications available.
