About the equipment

MBraun dual-user glovebox

Just Installed! Similar to the Vigor single-user glovebox, this box has an inert nitrogen atmosphere and is good for setting up, running, and taking down air-sensitive reactions.

Glove box for scientific work

Features include:

  • Support for two users working simultaneously
  • Large-capacity, mol-sieve based solvent removal system
  • -35 °C freezer for temporary reagent storage
  • Vacuum, power, and USB data feedthroughs
  • Two nearby computers for robot and instrument control

This glovebox will house both the Mantis liquid dispenser and the Crystal solid dispenser robots. Priority should be given to users needing the use of either of these instruments.

Vigor single-user glovebox

Glovebox for one user

This single-user glovebox contains a nitrogen atmosphere with a catalyst for removing air and water. It is designed for the set up and work up of air-sensitive reactions. In general, automated dispensing capabilities will not be housed in this glovebox. It is well-suited to preparation work for using medium and low-throughput equipment in the center, such as the EasyMax, Parr pressure reactor, and high pressure NMR setup. Contact the CSC for training and information about the types of chemistry that can be performed in this glovebox.
