About the core
Our mission is to provide insight into biological mechanisms and disease targets. We provide expertise in compound and siRNA screening and high-content imaging. Partnering with the Yale Center for Molecular Discovery (YCMD) Shared Resource can accelerate new lines of inquiry by providing novel tools, actionable insights, and biological understanding. Our experienced staff work collaboratively with investigators to discover molecules and genes that modulate pathways of interest and to evaluate, at scale, how existing chemical and genetic probes influence relevant biology. This core is one of eight shared resources that supports research at Yale Cancer Center, as well as science across Yale University.

Our resources include small molecule and siRNA collections, sophisticated infrastructure for high-throughput assay design and screening in microplate format, a high-speed fluorescent microscope, and a variety of instrumentation to meet your plate reading and liquid handling needs.
We provide genome-wide sgRNA/CRISPR screening for therapeutic pathway and target discovery, chemical screening and medicinal chemistry support for lead discovery and development, and development and execution of statistically robust, often highly customized high-throughput assay platforms to support testing and screening.
Your Research + YCMD Resources = New Molecules and Biological Insight
The math is simple. Combining your innovative research with YCMD’s resources can jump-start a new line of inquiry to provide novel tools and biological understanding. Partner with our experienced staff members to find molecules and genes that modify your biology of interest, or investigate in high-throughput format how existing molecules and genetic probes affect the biology.
