About the core
Dr. Folta-Stogniew retired on December 31, 2025. The Keck Biophysical Resource will no longer be available for services except for NIDA investigators, who will still have access to all below listed technologies.
The Biophysical Resource is a core operated by Keck Foundation Biotechnology Resource Laboratory at Yale University. We currently have resources to study the oligomeric state of biomolecular assemblies as well as the thermodynamics and kinetics of macromolecular interactions using:
- Nanoparticle tracking analysis (NTA) has been moved to PPMS for the CyTOF Facility, AC-S416, 300 Cedar Street. Please contact Huanxing Sun for further information.
- Dynamic light scattering detector (DLS) has been moved to PPMS for the CyTOF Facility, AC-S416, 300 Cedar Street. Please contact Huanxing Sun for further information.
- Multiangle laser light scattering detector and dynamic light scattering detector (MALLS and DLS)
- Isothermal microcalorimetry (ITC)
- Surface plasmon resonance - BiaCore biosensor (SPR)
- Spectrofluorometer: PTI-QuantaMaster
- Asymmetric flow field-flow fractionation
- Fluorescence plate reader
- CD - spectrophotometer
