sgRNA libraries

About the library
The Horizon Discovery synthetic, single-guide RNA (sgRNA) genome library targets 19,195 human genes. The sgRNAs are arrayed in sixty-one 384-well plates. Three sgRNAs targeting different regions of a single gene are combined into a single well for robust, reliable gene knockout.
Unlike pooled genome-wide libraries, this library can be screened in microscopy-based or plate reader assays without the need for next-generation sequencing for deconvolution. Amenable assay types to assess the effect of loss of a single gene on cell function are numerous, including high content imaging, cell proliferation, fluorescence intensity, HTRF, BRET, reporter gene, and luminescence.
The library is made up of three subsets:
- Drug targets (12 plates; 3,683 genes): Download the drug targets list
- Druggable genome (15 plates; 4,643 genes): Download the druggable genome list
- Human genome (34 plates; 10,869 genes, estimated availability for screening: Q1 2022): Download the human genome list
