About the service
If you have an idea for a screening project, YCMD can work with you to help identify and design an assay suitable for high-throughput screening. We support both target-based (screening based on a single molecular target) and phenotypic (screening based on functional biology) screening approaches.
Assay throughput
We typically miniaturize assays to 384-well plate format, but we can also accommodate 96-well plate-based assays.
Assay types
- Biochemical assays
- Cell-based assays
- Whole organism assays
Assay detection methods
HTS-amenable assays typically rely on changes in the absorbance, luminescence or fluorescence signals as common assay outputs. We have instrumentation to support a variety of assay detection methods , including platereaders , real-time kinetic screening (link is external) and high-throughput microscopy imaging.
