About the core

The Yale CryoEM Resource (YCR) is a state-of-the-art cryo electron microscopy (cryoEM) facility. It currently has multiple cryo-sample preparation devices (such as three Vitrobots and a Chameleon) and five electron microscopes (such as a Titan Krios and two Glacios) housed across three Yale campuses.

The YCR provides training, support, and services on cryoEM techniques such as single particle analysis (SPA), cryo electron tomography (cryoET), and microcrystal electron diffraction (MicroED), as well as negative stain EM. It operates as a single functional unit to support the global scientific community, though priority is given to Yale-affiliated researchers.
