About the core

The Chemical and Biophysical Instrumentation Center (CBIC) was born in 2009 of the merger of Yale’s Chemical and Biophysical Instrument Centers (the CIC and BIC). We are most equipped in the areas of NMR spectroscopy and X-ray crystallography, but we also feature resources in mass spectrometry, optical instrumentation, and calorimetry.
