About the core

Located on West Campus, the Yale Center for Genome Analysis (YCGA) offers RNA expression profiling, DNA genotyping, and high-throughput sequencing services.

Services

Next-gen sequencing

  • Illumina
  • Pacific Biosciences
  • 10X Genomics

Microarray

  • Affymetrix
  • Illumina

Bioinformatics

Three PhD-level scientists provide downstream analysis support of NGS sequencing data, with a focus on whole exome, RNA-seq, ChIP-seq and whole genome analysis. In addition, this group is heavily involved in the development/evaluation and implementation of new analysis pipelines and interacts with High Performance Computation (HPC) group to manage NGS data.

Mendelian genomics

Yale Center for Mendelian Genomics (CMG) applies next-generation sequencing and computational approaches to discover the genes and variants that underlie Mendelian disorders. It provides free exome sequencing and analysis to collaborating investigators for qualified phenotypes.
