The research.yale.edu collaborative
offers a broad spectrum of services to the University's research community.
Programming & design
The research.yale.edu collaborative allows us to assemble teams of technology specialists, designers, and project managers on
a project-by-project basis. This approach allows us to leverage a spectrum of skill sets for projects that vary in scale and scope. The
examples below illustrate the range of services provided by our cross-unit project teams.
YaleGlobal Online
The flagship electronic publication of the Yale Center for the Study of Globalization was
officially announced on 19 November 2002. This site serves as an online journal related to the many
dimensions of globalization. The research.yale.edu collaborative was involved in all non-editorial phases of this project
and provided services for metadata and XML markup, site architecture, and site design.
Journal of Health Politics, Policy, and Law
Research.yale.edu provided design and hosting services for the Web-companion to the print-version of the journal.
Women Faculty Forum
This site provides a database of women faculty at Yale. Users can search bibliographic and
biographical information related to the continued tradition of women scholars at Yale.
Hosting services
Some individuals and groups require mass storage space and Web-hosting
services. However, the cost of maintaining servers for individual research
projectcs can be prohibitively expensive. Research.yale.edu provides
a robust, secure, and monitored set of hosting services. In the examples below, these groups had their own design and programming staff, and only
required the hardware and services for storage and Web-hosting.
LawMeme
LawMeme, a collaboration between the ISP, the Yale Law and
Technology Society and the Yale Journal of Law and Technology delivers
the latest law and technology news, commentary and feedback via the Web.
Yale Partnership
in the Biological and Chemical Sciences (YCBS)
YPBCS is designed to promote innovative interdisciplinary
collaboration between the corporate community, faculty and students
engaged in biomedical/biotechnology research at Yale University.

Yale combines the expertise of distinguished faculty with the resources
of the university's institutions and research facilities, to remain
at the forefront of biological conservation.
