CatalogNumber. In the Mammalogy collection, taxon lots are catalogued with a one to six digit number (e.g., YPM 10219), occasionally followed by an upper case letter (e.g., YPM 10219A). TaxonName. Any of the latinized names that have been applied to the taxon lot. AuthorName. The author and/or date of publication for an applied taxon name. HigherRanks. The family, order, and/or class of the most recently applied taxon name. Locality. A composite of the country, state (equivalent), county (or equivalent), place, and latitude & longitude, as available. Latitude & longitude are ordinarily given to the nearest minute. CollectorDate. The name of the collector(s) and the collection date(s). CommonName. Common name of the most recently applied taxon name, largely following "Fishes of the World" (Nelson, 1984, 1996). OtherAttributes. Other specimen attributes that are specific to the holdings of the Mammalogy collection.
