CatalogNumber. In the Invetrebrate Zoology collection, taxon lots are catalogued with a one to six digit number (e.g., YPM 10219), occasionally followed by an upper case letter (e.g., YPM 10219A). TaxonName. Any of the latinized names that have been applied to the taxon lot. AuthorName. The author and/or date of publication for an applied taxon name. HigherRanks. The family, order, and/or class of the most recently applied taxon name. TypeStatus. Type specimens include primary, secondary and tertiary types. Primary types are recorded as holotype, syntype, lectotype and neotype; secondary types are recorded as paratype and paralectotype. The term "cotype" has been modified whenever appropriate (e.g., to syntype or paratype). Allotype is used where appropriate. TypeCitation. The authority who applied a given taxon name. Authorities may be either published identifications, or a person's name and date of identification as it appears on the specimen label. Lots for which multiple identifications are recorded will contain repeated name/determination information, in reverse chronological order. In the case of publications, hyperlinks to the full references are available using the "expanded data format" option on the search form. Locality. A composite of the country, state (equivalent), county (or equivalent), place, and latitude & longitude, as available. Latitude & longitude are ordinarily given to the nearest minute. CollectorDate.
