The NHOHP is partnering with the New Haven County Bar Association on an oral history project celebrating the centennial of the organization. The interviews with judges, layers, and other members of the New Haven legal community will focus on the history of the NHCBA, as well as the city’s 20th century legal history more broadly.

"Sharing the Story: Community As Curator" Panel Discussion
In September, 2005, NHOHP Director Andy Horowitz joined Peter Lamothe, Director of the New Haven Colony Historical Society, Joe Ferrucci, Assistant Professor and the University of Kentucky, and Dan Diaz, co-founder of Arte Inc. on a panel presentation at the American Association for State and Local History’s annual conference. They discussed their experiences working with community groups to interpret and exhibit local history in New Haven, Connecticut. More information can be found here.
Because of the success of AASLH panel, we have been invited to present our model at the American Association of Museum’s centenial meeting in April, 2006.
