State forestland tax incentives are often seen as a key legislative mechanism for preserving forests and ensuring the economic viability of forested landscapes.

This two day event will:

  • Examine the effectiveness of state forestland tax laws in Connecticut
  • Hear from representatives outside Connecticut on successful incentive programs in other states
  • Explore other market mechanisms for promoting forestland preservation
