- Environmental Justice and Global Warming
Unitarian Universalist Association (UUA)
The UUA’s environmental justice program is founded upon the recognition that environmental degradation disproportionately harms the poor and marginalized even though they have less access to the benefits and less to little control over how such resources are used. This is especially true of global warming/climate change. This website provides resources intended to help individuals and congregations act on both the personal, local, and national levels to adopt practices that will stem/reverse environmental degradation in general and global warming/climate change in particular. It offers several UU statements on climate change, numerous resources for studying the issue, and multiple suggestions for how individuals and congregations may take action in their own lives.
