I was most taken by the Business and Finance Working Group’s Recommendation #33 – “Distributing Eight Principles to Business Leaders” – found in the full “Americans and Climate Change” report (page 189).
Since I believe more corporate leaders should be trained/educated as to how their businesses fit into the climate change equation, I could probably add the most value as regards three of these principles (given my 20-year background in industrial env. communications):
#2 – Develop company-wide plan to address climate change risks and opportunities.
#3 – Educate CEOs and board members.
#4 - Educate customers.

Re. #2, teaming up with the broad-scale Business Roundtable here in Washington may be an effective way to reach out to many corporations via the trade association route. Formerly a communications manager at another trade association in this area, I would be happy to serve as a conduit for this task (if that would be appropriate).
Re. #3, requisite education/training might include a range of topics like climate change science, financial impacts, overall corporate emissions, stakeholder relations, and corporate social responsibility factors. As I focus on energy, engineering, and env. outreach as principal with RSVP Communications, I would be happy to serve as a conduit. (I also put together the first env./emissions abatement/hazwaste mngt. training programs at an army ammo. plant back in the 1980s.)
Re. #4, educating customers is always smart and advantageous. At this stage, though, I believe Principles #2 and #3 should take precedence.
